North Country Brewing Company

Homegrown Food & Fun for the Whole Family

About Us

When Jodi and Bob opened the doors to North Country Brewing Company in 2005, they couldn’t have expected the support and demand for good craft beer that Slippery Rock had. Over the years, our brewpub has featured over 100 different types of beers, ranging from traditional reds and stouts to more outlandish and experimental brews such as bacon-flavored brews and chai tea infused ales.

North Country Brewing Company has always thrived on the belief of “community before self.” Our annual Brewfests have raised over $50,000 for Slippery Rock Development, which have helped maintain Slippery Rock’s appearance and upkeep.

Beers On Draft

BUCCO BLONDE

We teamed up with Bucco's pitching coach Uncle Ray Searage to bring you the refreshing blonde ale hopped with citra hops.

STRAWBERRY FIELDS

A light wheat base conditioned atop strawberry puree. Light and refreshing!

JACK FROST WINTER WARMER

This frosty, malty ale may sneak up on you like a stiff breeze to nip your nose or curl your toes.

CRANBERRY SOUR

We took our light kettle sour and conditioned it with cranberries to create this seasonal ale.

McCLEOD’S EWE

Guaranteed to love her as much as McCleod, a crisp and malty Scottish ale.

McCAFFERTY’S ALE

A true Celtic red that’s as faithful as its namesake. With a smooth balance between malt and hops it has become a pub house favorite.

STATION 33 FIREHOUSE RED

This red is a rich, malty, ruby-colored ale with a smooth finish.*5% of total sales will be donated to the Slippery Rock Fire Department.

STINKY HIPPIE

Do I smell patchouli or is it hops? Bob thought this was a good name for a pale ale. Peace and love.

PALEO I.P.A.

The discovery of the true I.P.A. (India Pale Ale) made right here in Slippery Rock. The British added hops to oak barrels to help preserve the beer for its long voyage to British-controlled India. Brewed in this same English tradition, we dry-hopped our ale, giving the beer a very aromatic quality as it travels to your mug.

BUCK SNORT STOUT

Guaranteed to straighten your antlers and warm your doe. This West Coast style of stout is one of our Brewmaster's favorites. SUPPORT THE SNORT! A very quaffable ale.

STONE HOUSE STOUT

This robust, hearty stout is as sturdy as its namesake. Roasted barley is the trademark of stout, a bittersweet separation from its cousin Porter. The deep character of roasted barley is further enhanced by the addition of oatmeal for an incredible silky finish.

CASK

English-style ale served at 55 degrees and poured through our old fashioned hand-pump. Ask your server for today’s selection.
